Passive and Interactive Versions
Passive Magic Rainbow Screen
Much like the Magic Rainbow Tube, this screen comes in both passive and interactive versions. The passive version changes through the available programs of it’s own accord, and has no interactive aspect. Ideal for public sensory spaces.
Interactive Magic Rainbow Screen
The Interactive Magic Rainbow Screen is available with either wireless remote or built-in hardwearing buttons.
Both of these versions feature 3 buttons; two “up and down” buttons that allow you to skip through the various programs (16 in total) whilst the third allows you to interact with the programs – we call this the “Magic Button”.
The Magic Button does a wide variety of things, depending on what program is active. For example, when the “Fill The Tube” program is selected, the Magic Rainbow Tube slowly fills up with colour whilst the button is pressed – as soon as you let go, the colour falls to the bottom of the tube. Once the colour reaches the top, you are rewarded with a glittering display accompanied by an audio melody. Another program fires coloured dots up the tube when the Magic Button is pressed – this can be done many times in quick succession.
The buttons we use for this are the same that are used in the manufacture of arcade machines and are built for heavy use.
