Standard Plinths

Our padded plinths are a great addition to a sensory space by providing protection of the electronics housed in the base of our bubble tubes and Magic Rainbow Tubes, as well as providing a comfortable seat for people to sit on and get up close to the tube. Many bubble tube users like to put their ear to the tube to hear the bubbles rise up the tube. A plinth allows them to sit up close.

Plinths are constructed from a wooden frame, encased in foam and then finished with a vinyl covering, which is easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent if required.

Our standard plinths are available in two sizes; 600 x 600 x 3500 and 1000mm x 1000mm x 350mm. The smaller plinth is one complete unit with a built-in to cushion. The larger plinth has a removable top pad (held in place with Velcro) and access hatch to allow you to remove your tube for maintenance purposes as and when required.

Why not add acrylic mirrors to your sensory tube plinth creating the illusion of more tubes than you actually have. A plinth in a corner with one mirror creates the illusion of two tubes, two mirrors will give you three tubes.

Custom Plinths

If neither of our standard plinths are the right size for your project, please contact us to discuss your requirements. Plinths can be made in different shapes and heights, as well incorporating more than just the 1 hole for one tube. We can even cater for larger diameter bubble tubes if required. We can also design portholes in the side walls to allow fibre optic tails to poke through with the light source out of harms way inside the plinth.
