Seclusion Sofas

Seclusion furniture is designed for use in situations where there are challenging or severe behavioural problems, or where someone has been placed in a de-escalation room and standard furniture would become a hazard. This safety furniture is comfortable for sitting or lying on.

This type of  furniture is commonly used in detention centres and mental health facilities. These rooms are referred to as Chill Out rooms, De-escalation rooms and Quiet rooms. Seclusion Furniture can also be supplied and installed in sensory rooms or calming rooms or in any room suitable for relaxation. In many applications, seclusion furniture is used in conjunction with our Wall Padding.

All products in our seclusion range have no inner wood or metal frames and therefore no hard surfaces. They are lighter in weight to reduce impact. and are finished in our robust PVC vinyl, preventing the opportunity for users to hide forbidden objects in the chair seat.

The PVC vinyl skin complies with the following British Standards: BS EN 71-2 2006, Clause 4.5 & 5.8, BS 5438: 1976: Method 2, BS 5438: 1989: Method 2a/ 2b, BS 5867: Part 2: 1980, Type B and BS 7837: 1996. With BS5852 Part2 Source 5 “fire resistance” standard.  Phthalate and Latex free. Premier Solutions padding foam complies with the requirements of schedule 1, Part 1: The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 (Amended 1989, 1993).
